On December 11, representatives of the Pocahontas High School Rotary Interact Club met with the
Rotary District 5970 Governor, Joe Gitta. Noah Keolanue-Herman attended a summer Rotary leadership
training in July. He was sponsored by the Pocahontas Rotary Club. When he returned, he talked with
the local Rotary club about starting a high school Rotary Interact service club. The Rotarians were
impressed with Noah’s enthusiasm & encouraged him to identify a teacher who could serve as the club
advisor. Katie Wilford, Pocahontas High School math teacher, consented to serve in this position.
Sabrina Taylor volunteered to serve as the Rotary liaison. Governor Gitta met with Noah; PAC advisor,
Katie Wilford; and Pocahontas Rotary Liaison, Sabrina Taylor. Governor Gitta congratulated them on
organizing this youth service club and being involved in our community.
Katie Wilford, PAC Advisor; Joe Gitta, Rotary District Governor; Helen Beneke, Rotary District Trainer; Sabrina Taylor, Rotary Club Liaison; Noah Keolanui-Herman, Interact President
